Cases pending for Evelyn and Oasis

First of all, my deepest thanks to all those who have responded to my end-of-the-year plea for my kids. I wouldn’t be here without you all, God bless and my deepest gratitude. A message of thanks from Cola also…WOOF.
I’ve had one little mix-up regarding Ketchup, a dog I helped along with others a few months ago. It seems around $300 was still pending from my end of the bill. A check has been sent to Upstate (God bless those people). They’ve trusted me for much more. Most importantly, Ketchup is now 7 months old and the big galoot is 75 pounds and doing well.
Two cases are pending: I’m sure you remember Evelyn, the female pit from “The good and the ugly,” that has a damaged paw and hind leg. I’ve been keeping tabs on her and she’s doing fine. She’s being kept as comfortable as possible and Doctor Angel Mitchell is waiting for her to grow a little more. With all the people who’ve fallen in love with this sweet girl, I’m certain she’ll get the best of care and a loving home.
The second case pending is Oasis; she was brought into the shelter with her brother Nirvana, both about 3 months old. Each had Demodex mange, due to poor nutrition and stress. Both of these strays were thin with distended abdomens and heavy parasite infections.
Oasis’ tail is broken in two places and it has healed in a hook that does not give and easily gets caught on crates or fencing. Doctor Buchanan at Bonnie Brae has scheduled surgery. Lennie’s Fund will handle the fee which will be around $1,100. Meanwhile, Oasis, along with Evelyn, is in the capable and caring hands of my dear friend Sue.
And so another year begins, God bless you all for helping me do what I do. Thanks for listening.
