Sizemore Gymnastics Academy shines in Pink Power Invitational

Sizemore Gymnastics Academy (SGA) competed in the Pink Power Invitational on November 4 and 5 in Florence, SC.
Irie Marlow-Halterman represented SGA at the AAU Xcel bronze level. Kendall Medina, Hadley Pereira, and Aria Springs represented SGA at the AAU Xcel Silver level. Genevieve Ard and ScottLynn Whiteside participated at the AAU Xcel Gold level, and Sherlyn Trejo and Kylie Whitinger competed at the AAU Xcel Platinum level.
On SGA’s Bronze team, Irie raised her all-around score to 33.225 from her 8.8 on bars, 8.15 on vault and 8.15 on beam.
From SGA’s Silver team, Kendall earned 33.55 all around from her 8.925 on vault, 8.4 on bars and 8.325 on floor. Hadley received 35.275 all around from her 9.05 on bars, 9.075 on beam and 8.7 on vault. Aria achieved 33.2 all-around from her 8.725 on vault, 8.4 on floor, and 8.225 on beam.
In terms of SGA’s gold team, Genevieve earned 35.775 from raising her beam to 9.250 as well as earning 9.025 on bar and 8.9 on floor. ScottLynn achieved 32.75 from her 8.7 on beam, 8.4 on floor and 8.1 on vault.
For Xcel platinum, Sherlyn earned 1st in her division with 35.625 from her 1st on beam with 9.2, 1st on bar with 9.15, and 2nd on floor with 8.875. Kylie achieved 32.025 from her 3rd on bar with 8.550, and 8.15 on vault. The coaches were proud of how the girls competed despite some tough competition. The gymnasts will compete next on December 10th at the AAU 1st State Qualifier Competition in Fletcher, NC.
