A new Family Christmas Market, inspired by the German Christkindlmarkt, hosted by The Congregational Church (UCC) in Tryon is in development for Saturday, December 10, from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. The market will be held in the large parking lot on Melrose Avenue across from the church and include vendors selling artisanal crafts and gifts, food and drink, Christmas carolers, and a “Santa’s workshop” with crafts for kids and hopefully Santa Claus!
Come artists and bakers and candlestick makers, both young and old! The church wants a fun, wide variety of vendors. There will be a small vendor fee. The hope is for this event to turn into an annual occasion to support local artisans and businesses, and to also bring further joy and merriment into our beloved community.
Show your support by being a vendor. For sign up and information, please contact Jackie Weedon at 828-894-5970 or weedon@windstream.net.
