As with all Empty Bowls events, guests will receive a handcrafted bowl made by local potters, as a reminder of all the empty bowls at meal time in Polk County and around the world. Thank you Tryon Arts & Crafts School and local potters, Will Barclift, Tim Bell, Jim Cullen, Ann Gleason, Renee Lindsey and Susan McDade for sharing your time and talents to create so many beautiful bowls.

At this Empty Bowls event, you will enjoy the sweet sounds of musician TJ Jeter while sampling delicious soups prepared and donated by local restaurants and caterers – Green River Plantation, Iron Key Brewery, Southside Smokehouse & Grille, The Purple Onion, The Rural Seed Restaurant and Twisted Fork. Standing Stone Breads will provide fresh artisan breads.

Parker-Binns will be selling their wines and will be offering a beer selection for this event only. Tea and water will be provided.

Tickets are $25 each. Each ticket sold will provide a family of four with nearly a week worth of food and supports Outreach’s mission to provide compassionate assistance to Polk County residents who do not have all the resources to provide for their basic life needs.

To purchase tickets, visit Outreach’s website www.tboutreach.org and click the Purchase Empty Bowls Tickets button at the top of the page or stop by Outreach (134 White Drive, Columbus) Monday – Thursday (9AM – 4PM (closed 12-1PM). Tickets are also available at Parker-Binns’ Tasting Room.
