“Pump Boys and Dinettes”, Tryon Little Theater’s first show of the new season, opens this Thursday, September 22, on the Tryon Fine Arts Center Stage on Melrose Avenue. Performances will be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 3:00 p.m.

 

Directed by Carol Cox, in collaboration with Musical Director Pam McNeil, the Tony Award-winning show is set in a 50s diner, with a gas station just across Highway 57 – somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, North Carolina.

 

The talented group of actors will take you from sun-up to sun-down, with songs and music ranging from honky-tonk to country, from pop to blues, with each song representing a slice of small-town living.
