The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played a two-man best ball format along with Closest-to-the-Pin contests for each par 3 on September 9. Despite the greens having been aerified, a few gentlemen played really great golf. The results were as follows:

 

1st place -Bill Kelly & Jerry Perry – 31

 

2nd place – Brad Rakow & Phil Hall – 31

 

3rd place – Tommy Richardson & Jim Shirley – 32

 

4th place – Gerry Holstein & Richard Barraud – 34

#3 – Roger Dehnel – 5’ 7”

 

#8 – Jerry Perry – 6’ 8”

The Tryon Country Club Women’s Golf Association played a 1 Best Ball of 4 format on Tuesday, September 13. They also had a Closest-to-the-Pin contest on #3. The winners are listed below:

2nd place – Joyce Arledge, Lynn Morrill, Tracey Beaver, (BP) Ann Connolly

 

3rd place – Kathy Clark, Ann Gargiulo, Caroline Brown, Katherine Weathers
