Polk County District Court results – July 20, 2022

In Polk County District Court on July 20, 2022 with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 97 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Adrian Galbert Bent was convicted of possession/manufacture fraudulent ID. Bent was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for one day.

Nolan Andrew Blanton was convicted of speeding 102 mph in a 65 mph zone. Blanton was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation. 102 hours of community service, a $102 fine and court costs. 

Amanda Jo Branum was convicted of two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Branum was fined $100 and court costs. 

Justice Ariana Cao was convicted of operating a motorvehicle with improper equipment. Cao was fined $25and court costs. 

Janet Lucille Hall was convicted of resisting public officer. Hall was sentenced to 13 days in jail with credit for time served. 

James E. Harris Jr. was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Harris was fined $100 and court costs. 

Louis Wade Hughes was convicted of level 4 driving while impaired and concealed gun after/while consuming. Hughes was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, $375 in fines and court costs. 

Jason Michael Jackson was convicted of attempted possession of a firearm by a felon. Possession of stolen goods, flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jackson was sentenced to 30 months supervised probation, 120 days in jail and court costs.

Joshua Thomas Justice was convicted of level 2 driving while Impaired. Justice was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 7 days in jail, a $150 fine and court costs. 

Diana Karpik was convicted of consume alcohol by 19/20 year old. Karpik was fined $20 and court costs. 

Brian David O’Sullivan was convicted of failure to work after paid. O’Sullivan was sentenced to one year supervised probation, $500 in restitution and court costs. 

Kevin Shawn Powell was convicted of speeding 100 in a 70 mph zone, Powell was fined $100 and court costs. 

Brittany L. Tucker was convicted of resisting public officer. Tucker was sentenced to 12 days in jail with credit for time served. 

Travis Maurice Twitty was convicted of possession of marijuana, Twitty was fined $100 and court costs. 

Jakarus B. Washington was convicted of possession of stolen motor vehicle. Washington was sentenced to two years supervised probation and court costs.
