FLAT ROCK – Isabell “Bell” Maybin Johnson, 78, of Flat Rock, passed away, Sunday afternoon, July 10, 2022 at Pardee Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Nathanial Maybin and Clara Elizabeth Jones Maybin and widow of the late Thad E. Johnson who passed away in 2003.
Bell was employed with World of Clothing for 49 years retiring when the store closed. When she was not working and after retirement, she enjoyed beach trips with her family, watching Hallmark movies and enjoying time with her grandchildren. Bell attended Bethel Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are two sons, Brad Johnson (Lori) and Randall Johnson (Kelly) all of Saluda; five grandchildren, Rep. Jake Johnson, Cheyenne Johnson, Zane Johnson (Ashley), Kayla Johnson and Austin Johnson; two sisters, Nell Lockaby (Larry) and Sybil Strickland both of Hendersonville.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
A graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in Saluda City Cemetery with Reverend Tim Clark officiating.
