Bradley, Vitale tabbed for all-district softball team

More honors have arrived for a pair of Polk County freshmen softball players.
Polk County’s Mia Bradley and Sarah Vitale have been named to the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association 2A All-District 8 squad.
Bradley, a freshman, hit .391 and played shortstop for the Wolverines while Vitale, also a freshman, hit .397 and finished 7-6 as a pitcher, striking out 84 batters in 71 innings.
District 8 includes schools in Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania and Yancey counties.
Bradley and Vitale were also chosen for the All-Mountain Foothills 7 Conference squad.
