According to officials, a black Dodge 1500 pickup truck wouldn’t allow the fire truck to pass, and the driver then blocked the path to the location of the reported fire.

Once the fire truck was able to reach the location of the fire, the driver of the Dodge assaulted a firefighter. He then fled from the scene.

The driver was described as a white male with a long beard in his 60s. He is approximately 5 feet and 10 inches tall and approximately 200 lbs. It is believed this individual either lives or works in northern Greenville or Spartanburg.

If you have any information about the driver of the Dodge truck, please call Captain Patrick Donohue at Glassy Mountain Fire Department at 864-467-5479.
