NCDOT closes down Trooper CS Perry Memorial Bridge for inspection

 

COLUMBUS – On Monday morning around 1:55 a.m Columbus Fire Department’s Engine 22-5, Tanker 22, and Mill Spring Fire Department’s Engine 24 responded to a tractor trailer fire on US 74, around the 164 mile marker. 

 

The tractor trailer was pulled over alongside the highway under the Trooper CS Perry Memorial Bridge. Officials closed the bridge so they could inspect it for damage and reopened it later that same day.
