SALUDA – The community came out to celebrate the opening of Saluda Acupuncture at 48 E. Main Street, Saluda, with a ribbon-cutting Wednesday. The City of Saluda and Saluda Business Association sponsored the event.

The owner of the new business, a licensed acupuncturist with 14 years of experience, will offer acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, and sound healing. Her practice is by appointment only on weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can reach her at 828-490-1941. The owner has spent several years working in a mental health hospital treating chronic pain, depression, anxiety and PTSD and as a volunteer with Hospice doing massage, energy work and acupuncture. She graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon, in 2007 and has studied under Dr. Mikio Sankey, founder of Esoteric Acupuncture.
