There’s nothing that beats a walk in the woods in the springtime! Join Aaron Steed of Ventures Birding on Thursday, April 7 at 8 a.m. for this relaxed and informative bird walk on the FENCE property and experience the fun and joy of spring migration! April is a wonderful time to be out looking for birds and with spring migration heating up, more and more birds arrive in our area with each passing day. The forests and fields of FENCE will be full of a colorful assortment of warblers, tanagers, vireos, and grosbeaks, and a cacophony of bird songs will literally be music to our ears.
Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and bring along binoculars if you have them.
This event is free and open to the public. Thank you to the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making this event possible. Register by contacting FENCE at 828-859-9021 or info@fence.org.
