COLUMBUS––Well Rooted Mercantile is now open in downtown Columbus, right beside Southern Manners restaurant.

Well Rooted Mercantile is a boutique that sells clothing, in addition to handmade clay earrings, hand-beaded jewelry, hand-mined stones, Sweets Elderberry syrup, T-shirts, wood works and hand-poured crafted candles, all made by 8 local vendors.

The store is a multi-generational, family-owned business, owned by Lynn, mother of Brittany and Alyssa. They are from Fairview, NC and were not initially looking to open a business in the Columbus area.

Alyssa says, “God opened the door for us and has truly blessed and put his hand on every single aspect of opening our business. He has led the way for us to make connections in this community and establish relationships with people we would not have met otherwise.”

She continues, “The reason for us wanting to open this store is to establish connections, create family within our community, and most importantly, bring glory to God through those established relationships.

They keep the Bible verses Jeremiah 17:7-8 in their logo as a representation of trusting God’s guidance and His means to provide.

Well Rooted Mercantile’s hours are Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed Sunday.
