Workers to redirect creek to prevent road from washing out
LANDRUM––A road closure in Landrum will begin on April 4 and should be reopening by May 1.
Fairwinds Road, right beside the Steps to Hope Thrift Barn, will be closed for creek repair due to the potential of a creek washing out part of the road.
Starting Monday, the equipment will be prepared on the road, and the repairs are expected to begin one week later. Spartanburg County said the repairs will include moving dirt and straightening the creek.
Fairwinds Road is expected to be completed in 3-4 weeks, and signs will be posted to signal drivers of the closure.
