Join FENCE as they celebrate spring with their annual Go Fly a Kite Day event! This event will take place on Sunday, April 3rd from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at FENCE on Hawk’s Ridge located behind the FENCE Center. Go Fly a Kite Day is free for the community with snacks and drinks provided for all and kites provided for the first 200 children.

Go Fly a Kite day is a community favorite that invites the community to spend the afternoon outside with family and friends. We are hoping for warm weather, sunny skies, and windy kite flying weather for the event. Attendees are encouraged to explore FENCE before or after the event; hike the trails, have a picnic, or play in the woods! There is much to explore!

In addition to the kite flying fun, volunteers from TROT will have Rusty-the equicizer mechanical horse set up for the community to try out, Steps to Hope will have a booth set up, and the Foothills Humane Society will be present with some adoptable animals. We hope you can join us for this fun community event!

This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation. FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon, North Carolina. For more information about this or upcoming events visit our website www.fence.org, email info@fence.org, or call 828-859-9021.
