Members of the Kiwanis Club of Tryon Dictionary Project recently delivered 155 free dictionaries to students in the 3rd grade at Tryon Elementary School, Saluda Elementary School, Sunny View Elementary School and Polk Central Elementary School. The dictionaries also contain pictures, historical information, maps and other data that will be a great resource for children’s education. The students started reading them right away and were quite happy to receive these books, which each child will keep as their own. This is the 4th year of the Dictionary Project and is funded by donations made to the Kiwanis club through fundraising efforts. Please visit www.tryonkiwanisclub.com for more information.
