Census Bureau statistics reveal average income

 

SPARTANBURG COUNTY––According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Landrum and Campobello were included in Spartanburg County’s list of highest-earning zip codes.

Zip codes in the county are ranked by 2019 5-year estimate of household income.

In 2019, the median household income in the U.S. was $69,560, according to the U.S. Census’s annual analysis of income and poverty in the U.S.

Landrum is #10 on the top 10 list of highest-earning zip codes in Spartanburg County.  The median household income in Landrum is $53,204.

Campobello is #5 on the list of highest-earning zip codes in the county.  The median household income in Campobello is $62,169.

According to a national Brookings Institute study, workers in the top 30 locations in America earn an average of 20% more than the median worker in the U.S. and 37% more than workers in the bottom 30 locations.
