RUTHERFORDTON – Betty Lou Wilkerson Keres, 69, of Rutherfordton, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.
Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Homer Wilkerson and Eva Cochran Wilkerson. In the past, Betty worked at Wheaton Tubing in Columbus and Specialty Electronics in Landrum. She loved watching movies and reading novels.
Surviving are her two sisters, Carolyn Halford (Mike) of Mill Spring and Sondra Townsend of Rutherfordton; one brother, Calvin Wilkerson (Debbie) of Asheville; one niece, Michele Cantrell (Jim) of Rutherfordton; one nephew, Justin Halford (Angela) of Mill Spring.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, in Polk Memorial Gardens with Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.
