Tryon Fine Arts Center (TFAC) invites you to mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 17th to attend a wine and cheese reception beginning at 5:30 PM in the new Parker Gallery at TFAC. The open house event will feature the current exhibit TFAC Photo Contest: Spring to Summer 2020, as well as the new entries in the 2021 contest, Approach to Fall.

At the start of October, TFAC Exhibits Committee invited patrons to submit up to five (5) separate images relative to the autumnal season. Ms. Monica Stevenson, esteemed photography professional and local Foothills resident, served as a qualified and enthusiastic judge, choosing first, second, and third place. The submissions were outstanding therefore making her task a very difficult one.

To this, Monica adds, “I was very impressed at the quality and breadth of the creativity of the contest entries. Photography is such a democratic art–today, if you have your phone with you, we are ALL photographers. TFAC is committed to expose our art aficionados to avenues that refine the craft of photography, teach the language, and broaden our exposure to all types of professional photographers and image-makers.”
