Links O’Tryon was host to Steps to HOPE’s 18th Annual HOPE Golf Classic on November 5th. 30 teams – 120 players – took to the course that chilly fall morning for 18 holes of play. There were 5 Special Contests at this year’s tournament including a Hole-in-One cash prize of $20,000 sponsored by Stott’s Ford.
Congratulations to Team Prince Gas Company and players John Thorpe, Trent Hayes, Dan Markovich and Chris Paré who were the overall winners of the HOPE Golf Classic this year. Second place was Nate Jensen, Brad Lewis, Todd Lewis and Bill White. Prizes were awarded to all winning golfers – including “closest to the line” winners Lola Wells and Randy Cisson, and “closest to the hole” winners Jim Brummet, Bob Traylor, Craig Culbreth and Lee Heelan.
Thank you to all staff and volunteers who made this tournament the best one yet! Without you the HOPE Golf Classic would not be possible. As the biggest fundraiser that Steps to HOPE facilitates, we set out with the hopes of being able to provide financially for our organization and each year with the support of local businesses and friends of Steps to HOPE we are able to keep helping our community.
