On Friday, November 26, the day after Thanksgiving, the Arledge clan will cross the Green River to the Huckleberry Ridge cemetery. After we cross the river, Donald Arledge and William Arledge will lead us up to the cemetery site. The cemetery contains 40 to 45 graves, most of which are marked with uninscribed fieldstones. There are several marked stones, the earliest being 1813 and the latest being 1884. The crossing site is 3.6 miles from Silver Creek Church. All interested in going to this historic site are asked to meet at the Silver Creek Baptist Church parking lot at 9 a.m. In case of rain or inclement weather we will go the next day, Saturday the 27th, weather permitting.
