The Board of Directors for Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry is excited to announce the appointment of Margot Carter to the position of Interim Executive Director.  The Outreach Board is fortunate to have such a qualified individual lead the organization during the search for its fourth Executive Director since 1991.

Outreach President Heidi Shull said, “We were very happy that Margot accepted the position of Interim Executive Director.  She has done a wonderful job as Development Director and I know she will show that same commitment to the community in her new role.”

Margot has served Outreach as the Communications, Marketing and Development Director for five years.  During that time she has led the organization through a period of exceptional growth.  Her work has allowed Outreach to fund its primary roles of providing food and financial support to members of the community while also developing and implementing housing options on the Outreach Campus.

Prior to her work at Outreach, Margot served the financial industry with roles in marketing, product development, and sales.  In accepting the position Carter said, “I am honored to accept this leadership opportunity so Outreach can continue the mission of providing compassionate assistance to Polk County residents.”

Margot will start her new role on November 15, 2021, so she will have a few weeks to work closely with outgoing Executive Director George Alley.
