In Polk County District Court on Sept. 27, 2021, with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 65 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

The following persons were convicted of a crime: 

Desmond R. Anderson was convicted of speeding 104 mph in a 65 mph zone. Anderson was fined $104 and court costs.

Allan George Casavant was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Casavant was fined $40 and court costs. 

Abigail Joyce Crain was convicted of speeding 54 mph in a 45 mph zone. Crain was fined $30 and court costs. 

Don ‘Ye Keshon Fuller was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Fuller was to pay court costs. 

Tony Lee Helmuth was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Helmuth was to pay court costs. 

Hunter Allen Jolley was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Jolley was to pay court costs. 

Daniel Mark Matson was convicted of speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone. Matson was to pay court costs. 

Evan Morgan Peele was convicted of domestic violence order violation. Peele was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs. 

Ian Scott Donovan was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Donovan was to pay court costs. 

Taylor Lee Yonts was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Yonts was fined $40 and court costs. 

Mackenzie Nicole Galloway was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Galloway was to pay court costs. 

In Polk County District Court on Sept. 29, 2021, with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 122 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

The following persons were convicted of a crime: 

Oshea Shamar Booker was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Booker was fined $100 and court costs. 

James L. Bridgeman was convicted of possession of stolen goods/property. Bridgeman was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. 

Brian Edward Deyton was convicted of attempt to possess counterfeit instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deyton was sentenced to 240 days in jail with credit for 45 days. 

Lisa Fuller was convicted of felony possession of cocaine and level 4 driving while impaired. Fuller was sentenced to 2 years supervised probation and court costs for possession of cocaine and one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours in jail with credit for time served, a $150 fine and court costs for driving while impaired. 

Zabian Keandre Grant was convicted of speeding 117 mph in a 65 mph zone. Grant was fined $117 and court costs. 

Stacey C. McClellan was convicted of resisting public officer. McClellan was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation. 

Landon Jose Schlabach was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Schlabach was fined $40 and court costs. 

Johnny Lee Simpson was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Simpson was fined $50 and court costs. 

Spencer Levon Simpson was convicted of felony probation violation. Simpson’s probation was terminated. 

Parren White was convicted of littering public waterway. White was fined $50 and court costs.
