The Feed-A-Kid (FAK) ministry team from The Congregational Church (UCC) in Tryon voted to use some of the leftover dollars from this summer’s FAK program to purchase school supplies for Polk County school children.

With the help of Ronette Dill, Polk County Schools Grants & Community Partnerships Coordinator, who provided the FAK team with a list of what’s most needed, two members of the team went shopping. All supplies were delivered to Stearns during the week of September 20.

As a result, many more students will have the tools they require for learning this year. The FAK team will stay in contact with Ms. Dill so more items may be added as needed. The FAK team includes Amy Correll, Pat Gass, Carolyne Rostick, Jackie Weedon and Priscilla Yeager.
