MILL SPRING — Charles Ralph Byars of Mill Spring passed away, Monday morning, September 6, 2021, after a long illness. 

Born December 11, 1944, he was a lifelong resident of Polk County, he was the son of the late Roy (Duck) Byars and Addie Lee Byars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Byars James and brother-in-law Hobert James. 

He is survived by his beloved family in North Carolina, Janet and Silas Black, Justin Pierce and numerous treasured friends. He is also survived by his beloved family in Florida, Sonya Felder (John Carpenter), Benjamin Felder (Yahydia Iniguez) and Jacob Felder. 

A graveside service will be held at Byars Baptist Church, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles Arledge officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Byars Baptist Church in Mill Springs, NC.
