Town of Tryon asking public’s help for a branding project

TRYON—The Town of Tryon is asking for the public’s help to create a brand identity and marketing strategy to promote the town. 

The town has issued a survey asking for the public’s help to promote Tryon as a place to live, visit and do business. 

The town, the Tryon Downtown Development Association and the Tryon Tourism Authority is conducting the survey to solicit the public’s ideas on the character and identity of the community. The data collected will be used to develop a cohesive marketing and branding program that will look to leverage the town’s unique assets and position it as a special place, according to town officials. 

A community brand is a promise a place makes with its people, the survey states. A successful brand will communicate that promise and deliver a positive image for residents, visitors and investors. The brand will be used to promote businesses and activities, recruit new investment and contribute to the sense of pride that residents have of their hometown.
