Columbus Fabulous 4th brings thousands to town
COLUMBUS—After taking last year off because of COVID-19, Columbus was packed all day on Saturday to celebrate our nation’s freedom.
The day began at 10 a.m. with opening ceremonies and ended with fireworks after dark to end the night.
This was the town’s 58th year celebrating July 4th downtown. The town also had its 48th annual BBQ and gospel singing at Veterans Park this year from June 29-July 2, which benefits the Columbus Fire Department.
The celebration began Friday night with rides for children at Stearns Park and continued through Saturday night. There was a car show and more than 50 food and craft vendors as well as music all day.
The fireworks show was done behind CVS this year.
