Duke Energy plans to do work in downtown Tryon Thursday
TRYON—Some of downtown Tryon will be out of power for several hours on Thursday, April 1.
The planned power outage was scheduled for this past Thursday, but weather permitted the work being done.
The Town of Tryon said it was advised by Duke Energy that the power outage will begin at 11 a.m. and last approximately 8 hours.
Town of Tryon officials said they have been in contact with Duke Energy regarding the planned power outage. Tryon officials said Thursday that any customer who receives an automated phone call will most likely be affected by the disruption. Residents and businesses who do no receive an automated call from Duke Energy should still be prepared for an outage at that time.
