Polk, Tryon, Saluda, DOT, RPO to share transportation plan

POLK COUNTY—Local residents can attend 2 workshops next week to see the results of the Isothermal Regional Comprehensive Transportation Plan. 

Polk County, the City of Saluda, Town of Tryon, North Carolina Department of Transportation and Isothermal Rural Planning Organization are hosting 2 workshops on Monday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 9 to share the results of the Isothermal Regional Comprehensive Transportation Plan. 

Monday’s workshop will be held at the Saluda Library, located at 44 W. Main Street from 4-6 p.m. 

Tuesday’s meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the Tryon Depot, located at 22 Depot Street. 

The workshops will include a 15-minute video presentation at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Following the presentation, people can ask questions and give written comments. 

The meetings will be in person as well as provided through Zoom. The link for the Zoom meeting will be available through isothermalrpo.org the day of each workshop. 

The plan is designed to help guide transportation investments in Polk County and the Isothermal region over the next 25 years.
