LANDRUM – Betty Lou Plumley Murphey, 86, of Landrum passed away on January 21, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Claude and Annie Emery Plumley and wife of
the late Garland Dell Murphey.
She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and was employed as the
service manager at Audiovision, and then Danny’s TV and VCR Repair in
Sumter.. She was a member of the Ladies of the Nile and the Shrine Club
Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Dell Murphey (Shelley) and Ronald Murphey
(Tina); two sisters Bessie Moore of Salisbury, NC; and Myrtle Burrell
(John); two sisters in law Mary Ann Plumley and Lillie Plumley; three
granddaughters Jennifer Wyatt (Jonathan), Linsey Cooke (Jason) and Lacey
Curry (Adam); and a great grandson Blaise Cooke; and a number of special
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter in law Billie Murphey; a sister Bertha
Plumley; and four brothers Grady, Carl, Boyd and Clyde Plumley.
The family will have a graveside service at 2:00pm Sunday, January 24, 2021
at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Randy Smith. Due
to Covid-19, please observe social distancing and wear a mask.

Hill Road, Landrum, SC 29356.
The family is at the home of Dell and Shelley Murphey, 193 Dug Hill Road,
Landrum, SC.
