Polk County Toy Run distributes checks to agencies
COLUMBUS—Agencies in Polk County can begin purchasing and distributing toys to area children thanks to a record year toy run.
Checks for $5,900 each were distributed this week to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Polk County Department of Social Services, Steps to HOPE and Outreach Ministry from this past Saturday’s toy run.
The toy run was the most motorcycles ever with almost 600 bikes and 800 people attending.
The toys from the annual toy run are given out to children in Polk County in need for Christmas.
