TRYON, NC – Ashton DeAnn Owens, 28, of Tryon, passed away on October 12, 2020 after a strong fight to conquer adrenal cortical carcinoma.  She was the daughter of John E. Owens and Dorothy Ward Owens.

 

Ashton graduated Polk County High School and attended Isothermal Community College. As a Phlebotomist she was able to share her joy with many people.  Ashton loved life and liked random acts of kindness.  Her laughter was contagious, and she liked making everyone smile, bringing sunshine to others on a rainy day.  Ashton valued honesty and forgiveness and as such was an exceptionally genuine individual.  Ashton adored spending time with her family.  Her absence is profoundly felt by every heart she touched and life that she positively impacted with her inimitable character.

 

She is survived by her parents; her twin brother John M. Owens; three sisters, Brandi Owens (Abram Miles), Heather Owens Matz (Daniel), and Tayler Ortiz-Figueroa (Ezequiel); and her paternal grandmother, Rose Owens. She is also survived by three nephews and nine nieces that provided her many wonderful memories and entertainment over the years.

 

The family will have a memorial service at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at FENCE.
