Mill Spring man charged with failure to comply with sex offender registry

MILL SPRING—A Mill Spring man was arrested and charged this month for failure to comply with the sex offender registry requirements.

Russell Wade Gilbert, of Grassy Knob Rd., Mill Spring was charged with failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division-Special Victim’s Unit charged Gilbert on Aug. 13, according to sheriff reports.

Polk County Sheriff Tim Wright said the special victim’s investigators do an excellent job of keeping track of individuals on the sex offender registry and in ensuring compliance for the safety of Polk County’s citizens.

“This is an especially difficult area of law enforcement to work in and I appreciate our investigators’ hard work and dedication,” Wright said.
