Green Creek Fire Chief Jeremy Gregg said the purpose of the 3rd fire station is to save homeowners on their insurance since Green Creek is currently an ISO class 6. He said people need to live within 5 miles of a station in order to get a lower ISO rating, which means lower homeowners insurance.

The new station would serve Pea Ridge, Coxe Road, John Watson Road and Ken Miller Road areas of the Green Creek Fire District.

Green Creek currently has its main station as well as another substation in the Green Creek area.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, scheduled for next Thursday to make comments.
