The Green Blades Garden Club is the first of the 2020 Polk County Appearance Commission matching grant recipients to complete its project.
This project, located at The Park on Trade in Tryon, proposed installing metal landscape edging to sharply and neatly separate the curvilinear landscape bed edges from turf and reduce maintenance efforts for the club’s members, The park is worked on twice weekly in teams of at least two throughout the year.
Since 2016, the Polk County Appearance Commission has offered Matching Grant funds up to $1,000 per project for approved public beautification projects in Polk County.
Congratulations to the members of the Green Blades Garden Club for enhancing what was already a beautiful and welcoming asset to the Town of Tryon.
