In light of the state’s “shelter in place” order, the Polk County Historical Museum in Columbus will remain closed throughout the month of April. This includes the cancelation of the regular April program, which was scheduled for April 7.

“The safety of our volunteers and the visitors to the museum are our greatest concern”, said Pat McCool, Historical Association President. “The genealogy center and museum will be closed until further notice. Both will reopen when it is deemed safe.”
