As of 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, White Oak of Tryon Long Term Care, Assisted Living (Benson Hall) and Short Term Rehabilitation will be limiting access to all non-essential visitors.
Administrator, Harrison Cecil made the announcement to staff after carefully reviewing the CDC and AHCA recommendations regarding the prevention of COVID-19 from entering health care facilities. Cecil said, “It is important that we keep our resident’s health and best interests in mind and do our utmost to minimize the risk of this virus entering our facility.” Staff are communicating this with our residents and family members and we are offering alternative means of communication/visitation until more guidance is available from the CDC. “This has been a difficult decision to make and we appreciate everyone’s support in keeping our residents safe,” Cecil said.
White Oak of Tryon is monitoring CDC recommendations as they continue to change and we are working closely with the local and state health departments. For additional information, call 828-859-9161.
