Dominick “Dom” Ferullo age 89 of Landrum, SC formerly of Tryon passed away March 10, 2020. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.  A man of many interests and talents he was a flight engineer on the UN Peace Dove plane flying war victims out of Africa to safe destinations after World War II. After leaving the Air Force, he worked as a deep sea diver for a private company with contracts to the US Navy all over the Atlantic, including The Bay of Pigs.

During the time he was working as a radio technician in in Fort Lauderdale, Florida he began creating fine metal welded sculptures, collages, and wood assemblages, many of which were winners of awards.

After moving to Tryon, NC he and his wife Patricia were active members in the art community until his illness.  His collages and wood assemblages will be found in many homes in the area.

He is survived by his wife Patricia,( Cole), two daughters, Anita (Anderson) and Edith , and two stepdaughters, Judith (Clower) and Kathryn ( Dyndul).

  A celebration of his life will be announced a later date.
