The Unity in the Community organization is partnering with the Polk Central Elementary School, Polk County Cooperative Extension and Polk County Forestry Commission for Arbor Day Project, for a Campaign to plant 1000 trees, before Arbor Day, March 20.

An official kick-off will be held at the Polk County Extension Office on Wednesday March 11 at 3:30 p.m. The Unity in the Community has purchased 1000 short leaf pine seedling. These will be available free of charge, for anyone who wishes to participate and plant trees.
