Since 1992 The Tryon Branch of American Association of University of Women has provided full scholarships to deserving young women from Landrum and Polk County High Schools. These $1,000 scholarships provide for one week Summer Scholars Program at Clemson University.

This is an enrichment program for gifted high school students in the fields of mathematics and science. These scholarships not only provide challenging courses, but opportunities for fun, friendship and early exposure to the college experience.

This year’s winners are Landrum High School student Ella Huntley from Campobello and Polk County High School student Ashlyn Ramsey from Columbus.
