The killing of a police officer challenges amateur detectives on a radio melodrama at the March meeting of the WCCR Old-time Radio Club. The “Mr. and Mrs. North” radio programs featured the most successful husband-and-wife crime fighters of the 1940s.
Also presented will be a four minute segment of “The Quiz Kids” in which the young sages put on their baseball hats and try to determine how official baseball rules would deal with two extremely unusual situations that occurred in actual games.
After an entertaining old-time radio trivia quiz, the club will see an early TV program based on a radio show that migrated to television. This month’s offering is a Jack Benny program that includes his buddies George Burns, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and, of course, Rochester.
All are welcome to attend. The meeting begins at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16th, at the Isothermal College in Columbus.
