Polk County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer JJ Sauve said several other locations besides the horse were tagged with graffiti. The horse is located at the corner of Peniel Road and Little Mountain Road, just outside Columbus and had the initials “NWA” painted on the side.

Sauve said a church in Green Creek, a church in Columbus and a welcome sign in Hunting Country were also vandalized with graffiti.

Anyone with information about the area graffiti is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 828-894-3001.
