Longtime Tryon resident Sarah A. “Sally” Berg, age 95, died Wednesday, February 12 in Murphy, Texas where she had lived for several years. Predeceased by her husband Fischer, Sally is survived by son Tom, daughters Nancy and Patti, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She is well remembered here for her active service at Tryon Presbyterian Church, her interest in the arts, her devotion to multiple local nonprofits, and for her many kindnesses to those in need. No services are planned.
