Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

For the month of February, Steps to HOPE has placed bulletin boards at Polk County High School, Polk County Middle School, Landrum High School and Landrum Middle School that are adorned with conversation hearts. Positive messages embellish some hearts and are meant to encourage students, staff, and visitors to the schools to “Celebrate [healthy] Love” this month.

Each month during the school year, Steps to HOPE places bulletin boards in area middle and high schools as a community outreach effort and to encourage students to be their best selves. Additionally, Steps to HOPE’s contact information is included so that anyone in the school who may need services from Steps to HOPE will have that close by when they decide to call. Domestic violence and sexual assault effect people of all ages and Steps to HOPE exists to provide safe shelter and victim advocacy services to people in and around Polk County, NC and Upstate SC who are in need. If you or someone you know is being abused, please call us at 828-894-2340. Our hotline is always available.

The paper, ink and other tools necessary for this program to continue are continually increasing. If you would like to contribute to this or any of our many programs, offer suggestions for future bulletin boards, or to become a volunteer at Steps to HOPE, please call 828-894-2340.
