Tryon Garden Club’s Program for January

 

The study was begun in 2011 and is meant to provide assistance and guidance for land use decisions by private landowners, conservation and land trust organizations as well as county government officials.

Author, David Campbell, is an Ecologist and Botanist associated with HARP (Habitat Assessment & Restoration Professionals) and contributor, Pam Torlina, is Southeast Stewardship Manager for Conserving Carolina. Campbell and Torlina will present highlights of this study which has found extraordinary biodiversity in Polk County.

The program begins at 2:00 p.m. on January 15 at FENCE, 3381 Hunting Country Rd. in Tryon. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

An Inventory of the Significant Natural Areas of Polk County was funded by Conserving Carolina and the Polk County Community Foundation.
