Landrum holds annual Christmas parade

LANDRUM–Saturday was a Christmas-filled day in Landrum. This year the Landrum Area Business Association (LABA) and local law enforcement decided to keep everyone in the Christmas spirit for the entirety of the day, not just for the parade.

The morning started off with Santa where kids had the opportunity to eat breakfast with the jolly ole guy himself. Following brunch was the annual parade, which went from the train depot on Trade Avenue and made its way down highway 14, ending at O.P. Earl Elementary School. The streets were lined with excited families as festive floats drove past.

The parade hosted churches, clubs from Landrum High School and local law enforcement. Many local businesses were also involved in the parade. Other participants included the 2018 and 2019 Landrum citizens of the year, Trish Taber for 2018 and Ellen Henderson for 2019, who were the grand marshals for the parade.
