“Do Not Lose Hope” celebrating its 3rd year
TRYON—In an effort to remind people they should never feel alone, the “Do Not Lose Hope” event will be held for the third year in a row during the Tryon Christmas parade on Wednesday.
People can get free hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, slaw, hot cider, water, vegetarian options and a limited supply of “Do Not Lose Hope” shirts will also be available.
The event will coincide with the annual parade, which begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday downtown. The free food will be available at the Shops of Tryon parking lot downtown.
The Tryon Fire Department coordinates the annual parade, which draws hundreds to downtown.
This year’s feeding the community event is being sponsored by Polk Fit, Fresh and Friendly, Dr. Brad Whitney and the Thermal Belt Friendship Council.
Anyone who is able is encouraged to bring large jars of peanut butter as a donation this year for Thermal Belt Outreach.
