At the December 5th meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, the guest speaker was Carolyn Roff Henry. She spoke of her experiences as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.

Carolyn, who is from Tryon, applied for the Ambassadorial Scholarship at the urging of the late Dr. Wray Monroe, who was a member of the local Rotary Club. The scholarship provides the recipient an opportunity to live and study abroad, which in turn helps to promote international peace and friendly relations.
