The Shepherd’s Feast Christmas Day Community Dinner planning is underway, and it is time for volunteers to sign up.

This wonderful Christmas tradition will once again be at Polk County Middle School’s cafeteria on Christmas Day from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and share a delicious Christmas dinner served family style complete with turkey and all the trimmings. Tell your friends and bring your neighbors.

This event would not be possible without the generous donations from area restaurants and businesses and without the help of many volunteers. Volunteers are needed on our preparation day, Monday December 23, from noon to 3:00 p.m. to work in the kitchen, wrap gifts, wash dishes and set tables. Volunteers are also needed on Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to serve as hosts at the tables, work in the kitchen and be on hand to welcome guests. Cleanup on Christmas Day will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are asking for volunteers to bring homemade cakes, cookies, or pies to the Middle School on Christmas morning between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Help us make the event successful by spreading the word to your friends and neighbors. This is a gift from the Community to the Community.
